CII is organizing a Global Linkages Summit titled ‘Mystic South’ on the theme ‘Towards a $1.5 Trillion Economy by 2025’ on 23-24 September 2021.
The theme denotes the desire of South India to enhance its share to the nation’s GDP.
The objective of this summit is to showcase & promote the holistic strengths of South India as an ideal destination for trade, commerce and investments.
It will highlight the unique elements of the region that have enabled the rapid growth and its ideal placement as the growth engine of India with its diversified, sustainable and inclusive economy; industrial spread & sectors; economic & demographic strengths; quality of life; unity in diversity; abundant infrastructure; emerging opportunities; government policies; ease of doing business; culture, skilled manpower and leadership of its people over decades.
Through 28 sessions, the summit will have the participation of Ministers from Government of India & Southern States; Industry Captains & Thought Leaders; Strategic Thinkers; Diplomats; Founders of Unicorns, Young Icons and Celebrities sharing their perspectives on building a strong, resilient and self-confident nation through State / Sectoral Sessions; Panel Discussions & Fireside Chats.
The objectives of the Summit are to:
1. Discuss on increasing the share of South Indian States to the country's GDP and a
roadmap to make it a 1.5 Trillion Economy by 2025.
2. Showcase and promote the strengths of South India as a whole and of the five
individual States and the Union Territory across Manufacturing and Services sectors
to domestic and global investor community.
3. Provide a platform for the Indian Industry and the larger business community to open
new frontiers, network, identify opportunities for growth & technology transfer,
participate in trade & exports and establish sustainable global trade links
4. Promote best practices and achievements of South Indian companies through case
studies, fireside chats and interactions. Serve as a forum to promote the start-up and
innovation eco-system.
5. Engage Diplomats, Global Institutions and Governments and Businesses in India &
abroad to discuss on enhancing bilateral trade, business and investment
opportunities between South India and the world.
6. Connect with the Indian diaspora to deliberate on developmental opportunities and
collaborative possibilities.
